Originally from New Orleans, I have lived in the Los Angeles area for the past decade (give or take a year or two). This site is an outlet for my forays into mixology, cooking and other musings as well as a place I can appease the writing urges that attack quite often. I live with my lovely lady Leila (how ’bout that for alliteration) who is quite possibly a better cook than me. We have a dog, Emma, that helps clean the floor of our messes. While I will try to post all recipes, I can’t guarantee anything because honestly, sometimes I get lazy. On that note, I have never been a professional cook, bartender, or photographer.
